The Planets - Neptune.

Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun.

The information below is included to let you know
a little more about the planets in our solar system.
You will not be expected to remember this information for the exam.

Neptune spins on its axis once in about 16 hours.
The surface temperature of Neptune is about -220
°C.

Neptune is the fourth largest planet.
Like Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus,
Neptune is made mainly from hydrogen and helium but also
has enough methane in the atmosphere to give it an intense blue colour.

It has a magnetic field and has at least eight moons.
